ORLANDO, Fla. — With Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2024 less than two weeks away, security industry stakeholders’ excitement is building to a crescendo.
i-PRO, a company known for its advanced sensing technologies in the fields of intelligent surveillance, public safety and industrial/medical imaging, is among the highest-profile exhibitors whose booth will be present on the show floor. You can visit i-PRO at Booth #3035 during GSX 2024. The show emanates from the Orange County Convention Center.
Security Sales & Integration caught up with Adam Lowenstein, Americas product director, i-PRO, to learn more about the company’s latest offerings and what it has its eye on at GSX this year. Moreover, Lowenstein provides insights into dominant industry trends and key differentiators that set i-PRO apart from the competition.
Enjoy this conversation with Adam Lowenstein, who offers a preview of why i-PRO will grab headlines during GSX 2024.
Security Sales & Integration: What are some of the biggest trends or industry developments that i-PRO will have its eyes on at GSX 2024 this year?
Adam Lowenstein: With everyone touting AI solutions, discussing how integrators can leverage AI to win projects is essential. Since AI implementations differ between manufacturers, integrators and end users must ensure the right fit for their clients’ specific requirements. For example, the best AI-enabled camera in the world is far less valuable if it can’t send all the data it is harvesting to a chosen VMS for deep forensic search and real-time situational awareness. Yet not every AI-enabled camera and VMS work together as well as we might expect. Education is crucial for end-users not to suffer buyer’s remorse.
SSI: How is i-PRO leaning into those trends and seeking to drive industry innovation?
Lowenstein: i-PRO’s AI-enabled cameras capture more unique attributes than competing cameras. This means more unique ways to find persons or vehicles of interest. An i-PRO camera can even detect shoe color, for example. i-PRO’s Active Guard plugin takes all 98 unique attributes of the objects the camera detects and presents them seamlessly to VMSes from Genetec, Milestone, Video Insight and more.
Using a plugin approach means new AI capabilities in the cameras automatically flow to the VMS with no additional coding required. This kind of flexibility and futureproofing adds significant business value and puts i-PRO integrators ahead.
With AI onsite learning, i-PRO cameras can learn and track any object an organization wants to run analytics on. i-PRO is focused on helping integrators differentiate themselves and win contracts by providing demonstrable business value to their customers.
SSI: What specific products will i-PRO be showcasing at its GSX 2024 booth this year? What makes them unique and beneficial to dealers, installers and integrators?
Lowenstein: i-PRO will be showing its new compact corner camera with the highest impact rating in the industry (IK11+ 70J). We’ll also be featuring our X series AI camera line, which is the first camera line to offer AI onsite learning with the ability to add AI to legacy, non-AI cameras.
A single X series camera can harvest AI metadata from up to three additional non-AI cameras in addition to its own, even cameras from other manufacturers. These best-in-class products make it easier for installers to win contracts by precisely tailoring solutions to end-users’ needs.
SSI: How else does i-PRO differentiate itself from the competition?
Lowenstein: With its Panasonic heritage, i-PRO is well-known for building extremely reliable cameras and supporting equipment. A leader in both AI-driven and cybersecure edge devices, there are few products on the market that can match i-PRO specifications and build quality.
The company’s focus on open AI platform enables third-party developers to create custom AI applications. Open development environments like Docker containers are validation of an open and collaborative development ecosystem. i-PRO cameras are so robust they come with a seven-year warranty. Proving that i-PRO build quality is more than just talk.
SSI: If people want to connect with i-PRO either onsite in Orlando or in general, what’s the best way they can do so?
Lowenstein: Integrators and dealers can request a meeting at GSX using the following form: https://lnkd.in/eZFJwMGB, or they can call 800.513.5417.
