IRVINE, Calif.—Luminys Systems Corp., a provider of smart, sustainable, and connected technology solutions, has announced the launch of three new products: LumiGuardian, a solar-powered video security camera trailer; LumiCenter, a video management system (VMS) software solution, and Cloud Managed Gigabit Layer 2 Switches, a smart network and power management solution.
According to the company, the product launches mark a significant milestone as Luminys continues to expand in the North American market in response to growing customer demand.
“This launch is a major milestone for Luminys as we expand our range of integrated security products and solutions,” says Tim Wang, CEO of Luminys. “With LumiGuardian as our flagship product for remote environments, Luminys is closing a critical gap in end-to-end security. Our new VMS solution and cloud switches will also drive new efficiency in video security and smart building management, while supporting integration with future Luminys products. As we continue to expand our range of offerings for customers across North America, we are excited to bring this first batch of products to market.”
Luminys Products Support a Range of Security Applications
LumiGuardian: A mobile, single-axle, solar-powered video security camera trailer designed for remote settings with limited visibility, the LumiGuardian ensures end-to-end security in off-grid or power-limited environments. The company says the product provides users with a high-visibility design, deterrent floodlight, speakers, flashing lights, battery backup, and built-in 4G LTE cellular modem to help deter potential threats and improve response times. Integrated with the cloud-based LumiCloud platform, LumiGuardian employs proactive threat detection technology to drive better security outcomes for enterprise customers.
LumiCenter: Luminys states that its LumiCenter is a state-of-the-art VMS designed to seamlessly integrate surveillance cameras, AI-based analytics, and server software with web clients and mobile applications. The software enables users to take a proactive stance on security, predicting and alerting potential incidents before they escalate. The company explains that through its real-time analytics, LumiCenter supports embedded camera analytics and ONVIF profiles M and T to reduce false events and alerts with these state-of-the-art algorithms. Luminys asserts that LumiCenter eliminates the common frustrations of most video management systems and provides a streamlined, intelligent solution to video monitoring and management.
Cloud Managed Gigabit Layer 2 Switches: This solution was developed to deliver centralized control, scalable connectivity, and flexible Power over Ethernet (PoE) management for traditional video security and smart building devices. Luminys notes these switches simplify network administration, optimize power distribution, and ensure consistent uptime across a variety of industries. The inclusion of the company’s LumiPoE technology allows for long-distance power and data transmission up to 820 feet, exceeding the typical 328-foot limit and suitable for larger installations or remote locations. The PoE Watchdog resets unresponsive devices automatically, reducing the need for manual troubleshooting and ensuring continuous operation with minimal downtime.
