SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Ring hasn’t let the reveal of its secret agreement with local police departments disrupt its product launches.

The company has just announced Ring for Business, a DIY smart security solution designed for small businesses.

The solution comes in three different bundles. The Business Starter kit includes a Ring base station, Ring alarm keypad, three contact sensors, a motion detector, range extender, panic button and one wired stick up cam (the same offerings as the basic residential version of the system, minus the panic button and camera.)

The Premium kit adds a video doorbell while the Enhanced kit includes everything in the Premium version plus a wired spotlight camera.

“One in four small businesses are impacted by burglary or theft. As an entrepreneur, I know firsthand that business owners put everything they have into their work, and it’s important to protect that. Traditional commercial security options are often rigid, expensive and difficult to install,” says Jamie Siminoff, founder of Ring. “Because of this, we noticed some businesses using our devices to monitor and protect their properties. Developing Ring for Business, a more affordable and straightforward security option for companies, was a natural next step in our mission to make neighborhoods safer — both at home and at work.”

Ring for Business offers commitment-free, 24/7 monitoring, and 60-day video event recording for unlimited cameras for $10 per month per location. Battery and LTE cellular backup is also included.

Additional accessories like door and window sensors, cameras, motion detectors and sirens can be added to the system and customized based on each business’ specific needs.
