McLEAN, Va. – The Monitoring Association (TMA) recently announced that David Charney, chief customer officer of Stealth Monitoring, has accepted the position of co-chairman of the TMA Surveillance and Video Verification (SVV) Committee.
Charney joins seated committee co-chairman Wes Usie of Guardian Alarm Systems.
An active member of the SVV Committee, Charney quickly came to recognize the enormous potential of the collective group of professionals.
“It has been so valuable to have access to my peers to discuss new ideas and to brainstorm various viable solutions to some common challenges that I have faced,” says Charney, who founded Stealth Monitoring with his father and brother. “We can all learn from each other.”
TMA’s New Surveillance and Video Verification Leader
“David’s passion for his work is evident in how he interacts within the TMA community,” says TMA chief executive officer Celia T. Besore. “He brings a distinct energy to his new volunteer role that will certainly draw the attention and interest of other members who have an interest in video surveillance.
“It is an exciting time for video as it has evolved into one of the fastest growing areas of technology in the monitoring and security space today. The Committee will achieve much under David and Wes’ able leadership,” she says.
TMA’s Surveillance and Video Verification Committee’s primary mission is to promote, advocate, and educate on the use of indoor and outdoor video monitoring using enhanced video verification practices in the professional monitoring industry. Its overarching goal is to reduce false alarms and false dispatches through video verification.
