SANTA ANA, Calif. — Physical security, video intelligence, cybersecurity and digital identification solutions provider Hirsch today announces the relaunch of its brand following the purchase of Identiv’s physical and cybersecurity business units by Vitaprotech.
With a 43-year legacy, Hirsch’s “mission of empowering a secure, connected world through digital innovation drives the company forward as it integrates Vitaprotech’s industry-leading technologies with its own trusted solutions,” according to the company announcement.
The combined company “will offer unmatched capabilities, with a comprehensive product suite designed to secure everything from high-security government facilities to everyday business environments,” the announcement says.
With $185 million in revenue and 700 employees, including more than 100 software engineers, the new combined platform “delivers end-to-end security solutions that are both feature-rich, scalable, and highly secure,” according to the company announcement.
The expanded platform “offers solutions that include command and control systems (physical security identity management), access control, video surveillance, credentialing, door readers, sensors, intercom and perimeter protection,” the announcement says.

Hirsch’s identity systems, such as FIDO2 security keys, provide “robust digital security, protecting against cyber threats like data breaches and identity theft.”
“This comprehensive product offering ensures Hirsch can serve a wide range of customers, from
small enterprises to high-security environments like government buildings,” the company announcement says.

This acquisition “creates one of the most geographically balanced security companies, with major market share in the U.S. and EMEA,” the announcement says .
