CHELMSFORD, Mass. — Axis Communications introduces the AXIS V5925 network camera, designed with high-quality video and studio-grade audio for professional live streaming and broadcasting.

The AXIS V5925 is said to be well-suited for use in auditoriums, classrooms and for indoor sports events — allowing users to effectively reach a broader, remote audience through the Internet and other broadcast media, according to the company.

The camera includes sports mode and stage mode, and studio-grade audio for professional broadcasting and live streaming. It also offers HDTV 1080p at 60fps and 30x zoom.

VISCA RS-232 based control system allows for integration with existing A/V installations and VISCA over IP allows for remote control of multiple cameras via a LAN connection. Additionally, a three-month Camstreamer trial license is included, which enables live streaming to platforms such as YouTube and Facebook Live directly from the camera over an IP network.

“We’re excited to meet the growing demand for live video with a camera that’s packed with all the features a broadcast professional would expect and more,” says Ryan Gregory, director of solutions & services, Axis Communications. “The AXIS V5925 is powerful and well-designed with features like balanced XLR inputs and 48V phantom power for studio-grade microphones. HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs let users connect to most professional video switchers, and with the VISCA RS-232 control system users can easily integrate the camera into their existing A/V system. The V5925 is truly a versatile camera that makes professional broadcast simple.”

The AXIS V5925 is equipped with enhanced security features to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard your system, such as signed firmware and secure boot to guarantee that firmware hasn’t been altered and ensure only authorized firmware is installed, according to the company.

Additionally, Axis Zipstream with H.264 and H.265 is said to significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality. The camera is available through Axis’ standard distribution channels.
