FAIRPORT, N.Y. — Adding to its Inteox open camera series of products, Bosch has announced two new fixed cameras.

The newly introduced Flexidome and Dinion Inteox 7100i IR cameras feature A.I. technologies to provide security professionals and their clients a choice of efficient and flexible surveillance products that can be used for indoor and outdoor applications.

Bosch explains the cameras can be used in environments such as airports, government facilities, general city surveillance and traffic. Partnering with Milestone Systems, the company points out the cameras can also be integrated into the Milestone XProtect suite of security solutions to meet an advance array of requirements.

Bosch’s new Flexidome and Dinion Inteox 7100i IR cameras object classification (OC) models offer the necessary computing power to support deep neural network-based video analytics that include Traffic Detector.

The company goes on to say the cameras also support the pre-trained AI detector, which is available out of the box can help system integrators to meet the requirements of traffic applications by handling complex tasks such as accurately classifying vehicles at crowded intersections, roadways, and tunnels.

Bosch says Traffic Detector can detect and count cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, and people, and when combined with IVA, Traffic Detector data is augmented with object speed, GPS location, and color.

Bosch Inteox Integration with Milestone Systems

The N.Y.-based security equipment manufacturer emphasizes that Inteox product users will benefit from its partnership with Milestone Systems through a number of enhanced features that include:

  • Bosch Video Analytics natively integrated in Milestone XProtect allows users to detect important items and property. The integration includes automated alerts for line-crossing, object-in-field, or any of the other 16 alarm tasks captured by XProtect.
  • Bosch deep neural network-based video analytics like Traffic Detector are natively integrated in Milestone XProtect. These analytics use real-life data from the field, which enables users to tackle more complex tasks faster, easier, and with greater accuracy.
  • Bosch machine learning technology Camera Trainer natively integrated in Milestone XProtect lets users define rules and alerts without the need for external plugins. Usage scenarios include teaching the camera to recognize occupied and free parking spots and triggering alerts when all spots are occupied.
  • The integration of Inteox supports the ability to freely search Video Analytics metadata using the Forensic Search plugin via the XProtect Smart Client with new, user-specific criteria. Other applications Bosch claims, only allow setting up search criteria as initial alarm criteria, whereas Forensic Search lets users add new criteria at any time, providing complete flexibility in the search for evidence after an event.
