IRVINE, Calif. — Dahua Technology has launched its new Night Color 2.0 Fusion Camera (N45DUD2).

The company explains that its latest product offers users a camera product that features dual-lens technologies that enable full-color images in poorly lit environments.

“One sensor extracts detail from the visible spectrum and the second extracts brightness from the infrared spectrum,” comments Jennifer Hackenburg, product marketing director at Dahua Technology USA. “Then these two images are completely fused, using frame-by-frame mapping at the pixel level. The result is a brightness close to visible-light brightness.”

The company states that the final image is 36% brighter than that of a standard 4MP camera.

Night Color 2.0 Fusion Camera Incorporates Dual 4 MP Sensors

Through the new Dahua Technology camera’s pair of sensors, the company states the product can be used by integrators to address low-light applications where both covert security and full-color images are required.

Dahua Technology points out that some of the indoor applications the Night Color 2.0 Fusion Camera can be used include theater, restaurant and bar environments. These settings are typically dimly lit for technical or ambience and the company says the camera can deliver quality images in these environments.

For outdoor applications, Dahua Technology continues, integrators can use the camera in areas that white light illumination is not desirable.

Some of the other features of the new IP67-rated Night Color 2.0 Fusion Camera include ultra wide dynamic range, triple-streaming encoding and PoE.

Additionally, the camera provides Analytics+functions at the edge to support complex, real-time perimeter security and smart-motion detection, according to the company.
