ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — i-PRO Americas (formerly known as Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corp. of America) is expanding its S-Series of products through the introduction of 28 new high-resolution camera products.

The new 4K, 6MP and 5MP resolution cameras are available in indoor, outdoor, bullet and dome versions. i-PRO Americas says the new cameras come equipped with the company’s latest lenses and sensor technologies to help support high-precision analytic applications.

“This extension to our popular S-Series range of cameras brings high quality resolution and precision analytics to the mainstream market for the first time,” says Adam Lowenstein, director of product management at i-PRO Americas Inc. “We are continuously expanding our product line-up to meet customer demands. Our focus is to bring AI-based analytics power to more customers. Utilizing AI on the Edge brings benefits beyond pure security, by providing enhanced operational and business intelligence.”

The manufacturer points out that all 28 models incorporate built-in AI processors that enable up to three different deep learning AI applications that run on the cameras. The new cameras are compatible with the i-PRO Active Guard plugin to unlock the ability to search images based on a range of attributes.

i-PRO also notes with the AI processing occurring at the edge and reducing the load on the network, the analytics do not require additional equipment to allow customers to maximize their security budgets.

i-PRO adds that it employs an open AI strategy to enable third-party applications to easily integrate through its Software Developer Kit (SDK). The openness to third-party applications the company emphasizes, gives users access to a wide range of automation processes and customized applications.

The first of these new Series models is available now. The remaining new products will be launched throughout the rest of the summer.
