Your unparalleled showmanship makes you the center of attention as you have the audience in the palm of your hand. And though your biggest fans may think they’d never be able to survive without your music, there are forces out there that are literally, in some cases, keeping them alive.
Though they do not exist to entertain, Security Sales & Integration’s Security Solutions Award winners are the rock stars of the security industry. Announced in September, the program distinguishes manufacturers and vendors whose electronic security solutions have been proven in the field to meet security, safety or other organizational needs for integrators’ end-user customers.
This year’s winners, spread across seven categories, include Axis Communications and ProdataKey (Access Control); Alula (Fire/Life Safety); Regroup Mass Notification (Miscellaneous Security Products); System Surveyor (Security Apps); Antaira Technologies (Security Monitoring); IPVideo Corp. (Specialty Category); and Bosch (Video Surveillance).
“This program is both an outstanding platform for security product suppliers to showcase their wares and a unique source for integrators to identify project solutions,” says SSI Associate Publisher Scott Goldfine. “Manufacturers claim their products are the ‘best,’ ‘first of its kind,’ ‘revolutionary,’ ‘game-changing’ and other such hyperbole. However, the real test —especially when dealing in the sometimes life or death realm of security and safety — is how those solutions truly meet the needs of both the security integrator and their customer. Not to mention the added wrinkle of delivering these solutions during a supply shortage and the waning days of a pandemic. That is the true litmus test and why SSI founded the Security Solutions Awards.”
A panel of experienced security industry professionals judged each entrant based on the technical merits and ease of installation of the product or technology solution, in addition to the ability of it to help installing security contractors meet project bid, specification or design parameters; satisfy regulatory, compliance or code requirements; and deliver the highest level of system capabilities, features, functionality, user-friendliness, results and client satisfaction across the full range of general, niche and vertical market applications. All submitted project applications had to be installed or deployed in the past 18 months to be considered for the program.
