WILSONVILLE, Ore. — Theia Technologies announces that its quality management system has once again been certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards following a successful audit by DQS, a business management consultant.

The registration is effective Oct. 15 and is valid through Dec. 11, 2023. The registration scope includes the design, manufacture and sales of optical lenses. According to DQS, through an audit, and documented in a report, it was verified that Theia’s management system continues to fulfill the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, according to the announcement.

According to the International Organization for Standardization website, ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization:

  • Needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; and,
  • aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

“Our successful certification renewal demonstrates our continued commitment to quality, both in our design and delivery of high performance optics to our customers, but also in how we manage our suppliers to procure consistently reliable components for the manufacture of our lenses,” says Jeff Gohman, president of Theia Technologies.

Theia Technologies provides high quality 4K and megapixel lenses for machine vision, intelligent traffic systems, video surveillance and other applications. The company’s patented Linear Optical Technology corrects barrel distortion and improves image resolution over typical wide lenses. Theia lenses are designed and marketed from the U.S., and manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The company says it also provides optical engineering and custom design services. Theia has several issued and pending U.S. and foreign patents for lens technologies.
