TORRANCE, Calif. — TRENDnet announces it has added three new unmanaged switches to its line of industrial fast Ethernet DIN-rail switches.
In addition to a new industrial fast Ethernet PoE+ DIN-rail switch, TRENDnet also adds standard (or non-PoE) industrial fast Ethernet DIN-rail switches.
The company launched its first industrial fast Ethernet switch with a 5-port PoE+ version earlier this summer to its existing line of industrial switches. Previously, TRENDnet only offered gigabit industrial solutions.
TRENDnet says these switches give users a cost-effective solution to add industrial-grade Ethernet switches to network devices that do not usually require a high throughput, such as IP cameras and access control panels.
The models that support PoE+ can help users save on setup time and installation cost by delivering both power and data over a single cable, according to the company.
Each TRENDnet industrial fast Ethernet PoE+ DIN rail switch features a hardened IP30-rated metal enclosure, with a wide operating temperature range for extreme operating conditions from -40° – 167° F (-40° – 75° C).
Multiple inputs on TRENDnet industrial switches provide redundant power with overload current protection. The two new eight-port models also feature an alarm relay triggered by power failure. Learn more about each switch below.
