Top 9 Surveillance Videos of the Week: Would-Be Thief Foiled by Booby-Trapped Truck

In this week’s Top Surveillance Videos…

There are few things more frustrating than being struck by a thief, especially when it’s repeatedly. When a man in New Orleans was struck with such luck, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

The man had his truck broken into eight times in just three months. Fed up, he decided to booby-trap his vehicle. A security camera caught what happened when the thief eventually returned.

Surveillance video shows a vehicle pull up to his truck. A suspect gets out and smashes the window with a hammer. He then hops through the shattered window when a flash bang rigged with a tripwire goes off.

The thief quickly backs out of the truck and takes off. The flash bang device consists of a 12-gauge round with no projectile but does shoot gunpowder and is very loud.

Also this week…

An incident at an Ohio gas station shows that here is no honor among thieves. Surveillance video shows a group of teens get out of a vehicle they had likely stolen.

Two of them begin fighting when one of the teens pulls out a gun and shoots the other one in the leg. The shooter casually goes back into the car while the others grab the gunshot victim and put him back into the same car.

Make sure to check out the rest of this week’s top surveillance videos, which include a car smashing through the front of a store, a tree-obsessed thief and more.
