In this week’s Top Surveillance Videos…
There are multiple different types of break-ins. There’s the kind where a suspect steals something, damages something and sometimes even roams around before leaving emptyhanded. Once in a while, we even see a suspect cook a meal.
The latest instance of the latter scenario comes from a New York City Chinese restaurant. Surveillance footage shows two young women rummaging around the closed restaurant.
Eventually, one of them pulls a bag of dumplings out of the freezer. The other then turns the fryers on as they banter back and forth. They would eventually leave without actually cooking anything but take the frozen bag of dumplings with them.
Apparently, the restaurant’s electric lock on the front door suffered a power shortage, allowing the suspects to open the door and walk right in.
Also this week…
The owner of a luxury car rental business had his new $200,000 Bentley stolen. A man had approached the owner and asked to buy the car. When he was told it wasn’t for sale, he later snuck in and stole the key before making off with the vehicle.
The police put the details of the theft on the Ring Neighbors app and received a lead (as did the owner) which led the parties to an apartment complex, where the suspect was arrested and the car recovered.
